Transactions “after-hours” could be introduced at the BVB

Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) is considering the introduction of transaction model “after-hours”, through which investors will be able to sell and buy shares even after the official close of the session. This type of transaction, characteristic mainly for the US stock markets NASDAQ and the NYSE, allow to adapt the local market to trading session schedules on international markets and will provide indicators to the opening of the next session. “Last year we extended trading session on the Bucharest Stock Exchange about two hours, that means until 18.00. Even greater elongation session schedule is impossible, we think of the introduction of the transaction “after hours”, through which investors will be able to sell and buy shares even after the close of the session”, said Ludwik Sobolewski, CEO of the Stock Exchange in Bucharest during a meeting with Romanian businessmen in London . “If an investor wants to buy shares at 21.00, after work or before a football match, it will be possible with the transaction after-hours, ” said Ludwik Sobolewski. For comparison, the US stock market transactions on the NYSE are held between 9.30 and 16.00, while transactions “after hours” between 16.00 and 18.00. Źródło: zf.roTags: ,
