The change of the country’s status is strategic goal for BVB

The granting for Romania the status of an emerging economy should cause increase in value of Romanian listed companies with about 8-10 billion in the next 3-4 years, declared at today’s trading session Lucian Anghel, CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. “The strategic goal is to move the capital market to emerging economy status, which should cause an increase in the value of listed companies with 8-10 billion during the next 3-4 years. Investments funds on the markets with emerging status are thirty times bigger than those investing on the frontier markets – as Romania is currently classified.
