Romania’s annual inflation rate stays flat at 0.4%

Romania’s annual inflation rate was 0.4% in February 2015, similar to the all-time minimum recorded in January 2015. This means that the average prices of goods and services in Romania, included in the Consumer Price Index (IPC), went up by just 0.4% in February, compared to February 2014. The average price of services rose by 1.53% and the cost of non-food items was up by 0.65%, while the average price of food and beverages declined by 0.47%, data released by the National Statistics Institute (INS) shows. The average increase in consumer prices in the last 12 months (March 2014 to February 2015) compared to the previous 12 months (March 2013 to February 2014) was 1%.
