Garanti Bank estimates an economic growth of Romania in 2015

Garanti Bank estimates the GDP growth of Romania in 2015 at the level of 2.5%, thanks to a recovery in the construction sector. As is apparent from the Macroeconomic Report of the Bank for the first quarter, Garanti Bank experts expect that this year the growth in the construction sector will amount 3.6%. Moreover, Garanti Bank expects that the inflation this year will fall by 0.5%, from 0.8% in comparison with the end of 2014, which is caused by a reduction in VAT on food. As shown in the Macroeconomic Report, sector and IT consulting services still have significant growth potential, which constitutes a strategic importance both in attracting new foreign investment and EU funds.
