4,1% Romania GDP growth in the first quarter of 2015

Romania’s GDP increased by 4.1% (in seasonally adjusted terms) in the first quarter of 2015 compared to the same period last year. In the first three months Romania’s GDP reached EUR 39.2 billion. Moreover, compared to the last quarter of 2014, the GDP rose by 1.5%, according to the National Statistic Institute’s revised data. The growth rates were slightly adjusted compared to the previous figures released in June, which showed a 4.2% increase compared to Q1 2014 and a 1.6% increase compared to Q4 2014. The GDP amounted to EUR 39.2 billion in the first three months of the year. Despite the data revision, Romania remains the leader in terms of growth in the EU.
